Greg Boyd: The Kingdom of God vs The Kingdoms of this World (Video)
The following is quoted from Jesus Radicals:
Greg Boyd is the senior pastor of the mega-church Woodland Hills Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Boyd’s ministry took a decisive turn in 2004. As evangelicals rallied to re-elect George Bush, many attempted to coax Boyd to support a political party or to use his ministry and church to engage in partisan politics. After refusing such requests, Boyd developed a series of six powerful sermons entitled “The Cross and the Sword” in which he explained why he refused to engage in these activities. He taught the church should steer clear of politics, give up moralizing on sexual issues, stop claiming the United States as a “Christian nation” and stop glorifying American military campaigns. He preached Christian nonviolence, or pacifism as the way of Jesus.
In the following video Greg describes the kingdom of Satan’s subversion of the Church through Constantine and violence and compares it to Jesus’ self-sacrificial love. This clip is from a sermon series entitled “The Cross and the Sword.”
PS – How does someone with such subversive and great theology build a megachurch!? My stereotypical image of megachurch leaders has been shaken a couple of times this week… it’s good to have stereotypes busted.

“in 381 christainity become the offical religion of the roman empire. In 382 it killed it’s first non-beliver for being a non-beliver” wow that is nuts.
I have Greg’s book ‘myth of a Christain nation’ if you want to borrow it Frank
