Our Displaced Lord
The following quote is from Henri Nouwen and is worth contemplating in regards to how Christians serve displaced people all around the world:
Jesus Christ is our displaced Lord in whom God’s compassion becomes flesh. In him we see a life of displacement lived to the fullest. It is in following our displaced Lord that the Christian community is formed.
Note: Displaced people are people who have had to leave their homes as a result of a natural, technological or deliberate event. The upheaval can cause enormous issues.
