‘Getting’ Twitter
I’m a big fan of Twitter and as the Education and Campaigns Manager for TEAR Fund I can see a number of strengths it has to offer to my department. It’s ability to connect us to you and you to us so that we can share information quickly is phenomenal. It gives us a way to instantly talk to you and vice versa.
In talking to a number of people about how I see Twitter and what it has to offer, a number of people have voiced a similar sentiment… they just don’t get it. I can understand that, so for those people, I thought I would give you this TED vid that features one of the guys (Evan Williams) who started Twitter. Who better to share what it’s all about. Understand though, Twitter is continually changing and morphing as more people take it up and add their own expertise to it.
